our monthly newsletter, on the kiosk in Phoenix Hall, and on our
website at www.ucmtl.ca. Throughout the year, the church hosts a
variety of special events, from an auction to a fair trade sale.
Empty Bowls - An event to raise funds to combat hunger in Montreal. Participants purchase bowls created by local potters and enjoy soup and fellowship. This year it will be held on Saturday, April 18.
The Fair Trade Craft Fair – Holiday gifts to support social justice. Usually held the first Saturday of November, the fair features a diverse range of artisans and organizations dedicated to selling Fair Trade products as well as crafts from organizations which support anti-poverty initiatives in developing countries.
Bidnite – An evening of food, fun and fund raising. Each year, usually in mid-November, we hold a service auction to help support the work of the congregation. Members and friends offer enticing goods and services and then bid for their favorite items. Items include food, parties, vacation homes and more.
