La paix commence ici dans nos coeurs.
This is where peace begins,
within us,
within these walls,
with forgiveness and compassion.
When we find that we have lost our way
or felt the pain of old wounds
that are reopened,
when we are taken by surprise,
It takes an act of courage to name it
and to let it go.
Le travail commence avec nous.
Yes, The work begins here,
among us,
building bridges
between those who believe and those who doubt,
between the revelers and the shy ones,
entre deux langues, au-delà de toutes langues
between the men and the women,
the young and the old,
the whole and the broken.
Slowly, we open our clenched fingers,
we reach out
and help each other across
the river of miscommunication that divides us.
We begin again with love.
Oui, on recommence avec amour.
