What's Happening December 7 - 13, 2015

Join us Sunday, December 13 at 10:30 am for I’ve Got the Holiday Blues with Rev. Diane Rollert
and music by Jean Séguin, Denis Barsalo, Stuart Edding and Jane Critchlow. Whether you’re feeling stressed by holiday preparations, worried about the world, or find that this season is hard to face, come join us to lift the blues and imagine a new approach to the holidays. We’ll also light our menorah for the last days of Hanukkah. (Hanukkah begins the evening of December 6 and ends on December 14.)

A second candidate for the song/choir leader position will lead us in song early in the service. There will also be an open choir rehearsal at 12:15 pm. If you love to sing (whether you are experienced or not), we encourage you to stay for the rehearsal to participate and provide feedback.

In addition this week, the Book Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, Dec 10 at 5:30 pm. Friday the 11th, the Lesbian/Queer Social Discussion Group meets at 7:30 pm. SECC will meet Sunday, at 12:pm.

The UCM church office will be closed Monday at 11:30 until Thursday morning this week.

Verna's Farewell Tea, 3 pm
Verna Litwack is retiring this month as “administrator extraordionaire” of our church. For many of us, it is hard to imagine anyone else in that position. To see her off and wish her well, we are planning a Farewell Tea on Sunday, Dec. 13 , from 3 p.m. on. Do come to help us say “au revoir” to a very special person and pillar of our church. RSVP to 514-938-9617 or email Janine Cobb.
