Ongoing Weekly Events

Parts in Peace Choir
Date: Thursdays and one Sunday a month,  Time: 7:30 - 9 pm

Everyone is welcome to join the UCM's designated Sunday Service Choir! All that is required is enthusiasm, a certain commitment to attend rehearsals in order not to let your colleagues down, and a binder and pencil. Our goal is to learn beautiful, accessible and fun songs from all styles and periods which we perform in a  Sunday  morning service once a month.

Play Group
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Time: 10:00 am–noon 
Location: Nursery

We welcome children under five on Tuesdays and Thursdays on a drop-in basis accompanied by a (grand)parent or caregiver. Pack a snack for your child(ren). Coffee is provided. Play Group is open to all, whether church members or not. No charge but a donation of $3/day per family is suggested.

Carmina Choir
Dates: Tuesdays, Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Phoenix Hall

Carmina is looking for voices, particularly male, to join them. No audition. The ability to read music is not necessary. Solo possibilities, if desired. Bring a sense of humour and goodwill—and a black binder.

Midday Meal with Music
Date: The third Wednesday of the month, Times: 10:00 am - Scrabble and Bridge, 12:30 pm - Lunch, 1:30 pm - Music

The food is excellent and the cuisine is varied. Please contact Elizabeth by the Sunday before, to reserve a seat. Volunteer cooks and helpers are always needed. Contact Elizabeth if you’d like to help out. Cost: $5

UCM Drumming with Spirit Circle
Date: 4th Sunday of each month, Time:  4 - 6 pm, January to June
Location: Phoenix Hall

We meet to share the joy of rhythm, celebrate community, and connect to the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Please bring your own drum if you have one; otherwise, you are welcome to share ours. There is no charge, but each month we will have a donation box for a local charity. Everyone is welcome.

Book Discussion Group
Date: Usually the second Wednesday of the month, Time: 7:00 pm - refreshments, 7:30 pm - discussion.

Seeking the Sacred in Stories
