Religious Exploration is Hiring!

The Religious Exploration program is hiring 1 Religious Exploration Teacher (works with ages 4-12) and 1 Youth Advisor (works with ages 11-18) to join our Sunday morning team.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and aptitude for working with kids/teens

  • Strong skills in group facilitation and/or teaching, especially in a collaborative setting

  • Good communication skills, including English (spoken & written) and French (basic spoken), and comfort with email communication

  • A strong commitment to an inclusive classroom/group environment

  • Has been active in a Unitarian Universalist congregation for at least one year

  • Availability on Sunday mornings

  • Must pass a police records check

Our ideal candidates:

  • Bring a strong skill set of their own (e.g. music, fine art, engineering, etc.), in addition to experience working with kids/teens

  • Are enthusiastic about helping young people to understand and apply the values of Unitarian Universalism, and to build their own spiritual lives

  • Are interested in remaining with the Religious Exploration program for the 2019-20 program year

  • For the position of Youth Advisor only: has a valid driver’s license; is age 25 or older
