Sermon by Rev. Diane Rollert and members of the UU Classics Group including Carole Thorpe, Katharine Childs, Michael Pedruski, Cym Gomery and Rebecca O'Kill, 1 June 2014.
This past winter, a small group of our members met to explore three classic sermons that helped to define and shape the course of Unitarianism from the 19th century into the present. What do we want to keep and what do we want to leave behind from these three great works by William Ellery Channing (1819), Ralph Waldo Emerson (1838) and Theodore Parker (1841)? The group was so inspired that it agreed to share its thoughts with the whole community.
