Come join hands to form a human chain of inclusion on May 5th to show your solidarity with those who are affected by Bill-21, the ban on religious symbols.
We'll be leaving as a group from the Unitarian Church of Montreal after the BidSunday events are over. We'll arrive in time to join our part of the chain, which will be marked with white flags. People will begin gathering at 1:00 p.m. at Champ-de-Mars metro. Speeches and the formation of the chain will start at 1:30 p.m. Portions of the chain will be lead by teachers (section marked by blue flags), lawyers (section marked by yellow flags), political parties and unions (section marked by green flags), and citizens representing the religious and non-religious communities of Québec (section marked by white flags). No posters or signs please! All we need to bring is an open spirit to meet with our neighbours who oppose this bill.
